Arms length self. Need longer arms to reach Holga min focus distance.
Holga, Kodak Portra 160VC, Tetenal rapid C41, Jobo CPE2.
Wanted to test home colour processing with ebay Jobo CPE2 processor - basically a water bath to keep the chemicals at 38 celcius with a motor for processing tank rotation.
What did I learn from the test?
That my 'short thermometer' has a 30 celcius max.
The reason our medical thermometer has an extra glass sheath is that when you drop it and break it the mercury is safely contained within the outer sheath :-)
That the tank rollers are missing from my ebay CPE2 so the tank is unsupported.
That it's best to superglue the magnet to the tank.
That if you forget to depress the centre of the tank filler cap during the blix stage the gas pressure will pop the cap and the blix will leak.
That despite the above it works! Not surprising as there are billions of colour photos in existence, but it's still a thrill to crack the tank and find good negatives inside.

The fear
The fear, originally uploaded by misterpulcri.
Schmoo hides at the back of her box
A hug after the torture of teeth, ears, bum and tummy inspection.
Once a year Ishma and Switch visit the vet for a check up and booster injections. This involves planning. Escape routes must be cut off, access to hiding places minimised, capture and insertion into transport boxes, extraction at the vet end...recapture after examination and vaccination is far easier :-)

The Ridgeway
On the 1st of May we decided to have a ride on the ridgeway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridgeway_National_Trail)
We drove to Streatly where we picked up the path. We then cycled 10 miles west to the Baron Wantage monument, turned around and came back.

Here is our standard training route for the London to Brighton ride in June 2010.
We take a train to Staines then cycle along the Thames path (National Cycle Network route 4) usually finishing at Richmond or Putney.
We then take the train back home.
The route is around 33 miles (52km)
