Arms length self. Need longer arms to reach Holga min focus distance.
Holga, Kodak Portra 160VC, Tetenal rapid C41, Jobo CPE2.
Wanted to test home colour processing with ebay Jobo CPE2 processor - basically a water bath to keep the chemicals at 38 celcius with a motor for processing tank rotation.
What did I learn from the test?
That my 'short thermometer' has a 30 celcius max.
The reason our medical thermometer has an extra glass sheath is that when you drop it and break it the mercury is safely contained within the outer sheath :-)
That the tank rollers are missing from my ebay CPE2 so the tank is unsupported.
That it's best to superglue the magnet to the tank.
That if you forget to depress the centre of the tank filler cap during the blix stage the gas pressure will pop the cap and the blix will leak.
That despite the above it works! Not surprising as there are billions of colour photos in existence, but it's still a thrill to crack the tank and find good negatives inside.
